At the park adjacent to the Old Shasta Museum on Hwy. 299
Bobbie Miles, long time member and supporter of North Valley Art League, passed away on April 19th. Her love of the Art League was displayed right up until the very end of her life, as she continued to enter her lovely watercolor paintings in our member shows each month. Those who knew her will miss her greatly, and for those who did not have the privilege of knowing her, they can be assured that her legacy lives on in the Carter House Gallery and NVAL.
A special paint-out is to be held in her honor on Thursday, May 11th at the park adjacent to the Old Shasta Museum on Hwy. 299. This is one of the many places in the area where Bobbie so loved to do her plein aire painting. All are invited to attend and share their memories of Bobbie. Bring a picnic lunch and your paint or drawing supplies. We can meet there at 10:00 a.m., or if you prefer, meet at the Art League parking lot at 9:30 to share a ride out with others.
