Portraits: A Love Story
Drawing and Painting People
In this workshop, students will learn to draw the human face, explore pastels and/or oil paints, and discover the love that emerges when we spend an extended time focused on another person.
Diana Wright Troxell has spend over forty years in the blissful practice of art. She has noticed that when she leaves the studio, everything is beautiful (even if the painting isn’t!). The magic of long hours in visual practice is a healing journey. It is not about whether we are “good artists;” it is about ecstasy. Classes will include instruction on facial proportions and blending of colors.
Classes are Thursdays from 12 – 4 pm, starting on January 18, 2024, and held at the North Valley Art League, 48 Quartz Hill Road. Cost is $40/person. Minimum 3 people for class to go, maximum of 6 students per session.
